Water is a precious resource and a source of life. Thanks to the distribution of laboratories and personnel across the entire national territory, LabAnalysis Environmental Science is able to provide a fast and reliable sampling and analysis service, while adhering to the analytical holding times specified by the methods.
The high number of technicians dedicated to sampling allows us to meet customer requests quickly. Our highly qualified personnel can perform all types of checks required by current regulations concerning water intended for human consumption, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, process water, and leachates. The laboratory also has the capability to deliver data in the form of a configurable Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) and Data Package Report (DPR) reports.
Water intended for human consumption
Water intended for human consumption refers to both treated and untreated water used for the preparation of food and beverages, domestic purposes, and also water used in food industries.
The regulatory reference is Legislative Decree 18 of 23/02/2023 and subsequent amendments. LabAnalysis Environmental Science conducts various types of checks, including chemical analyses (metals, inorganic compounds, volatile substances, pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, acrylamide, epichlorohydrin) and microbiological analyses (Escherichia coli, Enterococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), as prescribed by current regulations. Additionally, LabAnalysis Environmental Science pays attention to emerging contaminants, such as PFAS and bisphenol A.
Special attention is given to the detection of Legionella pneumophila in water and air conditioning systems, providing support in the assessment, management, and monitoring of the associated risk.
Surface water
Surface waters include waters from rivers, lakes, streams, as well as seawater. They must be periodically monitored both chemically and biologically to assess their "good health," safeguarding both human health and the species present in them.
The laboratory conducts both chemical and biological checks to assess the quality standard of surface waters.
Groundwater
Groundwater is of fundamental importance globally as it represents the largest reserve of water intended for human consumption.
LabAnalysis Environmental Science is equipped to conduct groundwater sampling, with the capability to detect the presence of a supernatant layer using an interface probe. The laboratory performs various types of checks to meet the requirements outlined in current regulations. These include metals, inorganic compounds, volatile substances, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, aromatic amines, chlorine, nitrobenzenes, PCBs, dioxins and furans, total hydrocarbons, and asbestos.
LabAnalysis Environmental Science also provides consultancy to support the management of groundwater treatment plants (TAF) and the development of monitoring plans.
Waste, process and leachate water
Wastewater, or discharge water, refers to water used in human, domestic, agricultural, or industrial activities that may contain potentially harmful organic and inorganic substances for health and the environment.
LabAnalysis Environmental Science is capable of sampling and analyzing domestic, industrial, and urban wastewater, as well as stormwater and leachates, conducting all types of checks required by current regulations or prescribed by companies through Integrated Environmental Authorizations, including the preparation of equivalence reports.
Both instantaneous and average sampling are performed, including the use of automatic samplers. LabAnalysis Environmental Science is equipped to analyze the main indicator parameters of wastewater with quick delivery to support the operators of treatment plants.
LabAnalysis Environmental Science also provides consultancy to support the management of wastewater treatment plants (TAS).
